The 90s – Music and Memories

“Ahh the 90s I hated ye when I was in it, but I love it now that it’s gone…” – Allison B. Levine We are living in different times now and I really do miss the 90s. I remember in the early 90s, cassette tapes were still a thing, but by the mid 90s, they were slowly moving toward CDs and by the 2000s, they were pretty much extinct. It seems as though, all the good music came from the 90s or before and now, much of the music being produced is garbage. These were the days when I’d still go outside and run around and play. Most kids did that then, but now, kids are glued to their screens and missing out on getting their daily dose of vitamin D. The 90s seemed like simpler times and a time when I didn’t have to worry about paying bills and […]

A Floor Jansen Fantasy

The current prompt for Musically Ranting is, “Which musician would you sleep with?” Being Fantasy Friday as well, get ready for a wild ride. Sir got me hooked on Nightwish. The current singer is Floor Jansen who Sir thinks is smoking hot. So here is my answer to the prompt in fantasy form. It’s all fictional and no offense is meant toward Floor for a lewd scene. CONCERT VIP It’s Friday night and Sir is taking me to a concert. We’re going to see Nightwish! Sir picked out my outfit and I put it on. He has me in a black lace bodysuit with no panties or bra, a black leather mini skirt with a zipper down the front, a black leather jacket and black combat boots. Sir likes when different parts of my body are exposed.  I get into Sir’s car and he drives to the venue. I’m excited […]

Acoustic Beat Of My Heart

She looked for beats in songs on which she could dance and drink. I kept looking for that acoustic song, in which my soul could sink. – Amrit PAL Singh There’s something about acoustic music that makes it unlike any other genre. It strips away all the extras and somehow, allows for more emotion to cut through. Acoustic music has a simpler sound, but the rawness of it can be rather powerful. TORI KELLY’S ACOUSTIC MUSIC Most of Tory Kelly’s songs are acoustic. Tori Kelly started off as a musician on YouTube. I went through different phases in which certain songs of hers were on repeat. In love, suffering from heartache, loneliness…she had a song that would speak to me. I WAS MADE FOR LOVING YOU A dangerous plan, just this timeA stranger’s hand clutched in mineI’ll take this chance, so call me blindI’ve been waiting all my lifePlease don’t […]

If I invite a boy some nightTo dine on my fine food and haddieI just adore, his asking for moreBut my heart belongs to Daddy My Heart Belongs To Daddy – Marilyn Monroe Music and fashion. Hmm this one is a bit hard for me. Fashion in terms of clothing was never a big thing for me. In fact, I wore men’s clothes for a while (sometimes, I still do) because they’re more comfortable. I wore hideous sweats and baggy shirts in high school because I didn’t want to change for PE. I’m all about comfort. I ditched high heels before I even hit 20 years old. What I did buy into was more so hair and makeup. Especially makeup. MARILYN MONROE I’ve always loved Old Hollywood Glam. When I do my makeup, it is often with the goal to achieve this look. I draw a lot of inspiration from […]

Please Don’t Take My Sunshine Away

You are my sunshine, my only sunshineYou make me happy when skies are grayYou’ll never know dear how much I love youPlease don’t take my sunshine away You Are My Sunshine by Jimmie Davis Many attribute authorship of You Are My Sunshine to Jimmie Davis in 1940, but it has been recorded in 1939 by The Pine Ridge Boys and The Rice Brothers Gang. Although, there are rumors about who the author may be, the real author is not confirmed. Jimmie Davis bought the rights to the song and recorded his own version in 1940. Later, Bing Crosby and Gene Autry came out with their own versions of the song and turned it into a hit song. Now, I wasn’t born in the 40s. I was not alive for any part of that decade. I am pretty young, but this song has remained popular even in modern days. You may […]
