It’s been exactly a year since I started this blog. Check out the very first post I wrote entitled, I Am The Sassy Sub . Many things have changed in a year. There were so many unforeseeable events that occurred within the past year. I find that even my writing style has changed over time.
Given that it’s the Sassy Sub Daily’s birthday/anniversary, I thought it was about time we celebrate. So I’d like to take the time to highlight some of the bloggers/posts that were most influential in the development of my blog this past year.
Here it goes, in no particular order.
Needless to say, one of the post helpful posts I read last year was one written by Submissy in 2019 about memes. However, if we’re talking posts written within the year I’ve been blogging, I really took interest in one post in particular. Candaulism – Being An Exhibit was a very interesting read. Before Missy posted this, I had never heard of the word candaulism. If I remember correctly, she posted this for a meme and the topic was voyeurism and exhibitionism. It was something I could relate to because I, too, like being made an exhibit. She hosts Tell Me About and has been a great source of information.
I found Marie’s blog, Rebel’s Notes, shortly after I read Missy’s post about memes. It led me to the meme, Wicked Wednesday. Marie hosts this meme and it has been running for quite some time. This week was the 450th week of the meme and this weekend, the 451st prompt will begin. She is very honest in her writing and doesn’t just share about all the ups, but is real in her reflections of the downs as well. I really appreciate her blog and her insights on life in terms of struggles in parenting, dealing with health issues/injuries and the way they impact her relationship with Mr. T.
May More is very active in the sex blogging community. Her blog has a wealth of information as she writes sex toy reviews, steamy true life stories, and pens much smut. I came across May when I wrote a rather sensitive and graphic piece about my past and she invited me to write for the meme, 4 Thoughts or Fiction. Over the past year, she has also organized the Fiction Relay which is how I met my man. She has been encouraging and is kind enough to let me pick her brain about certain ideas floating around my head.
Dr. Lehmiller has no idea that I even exist, but I started reading his blog before I was even immersed into the world of sex blogging. He is a sex researcher and is associated with the Kinsey Institute. If you ever need to do some research about sex of some sort, I would definitely check out his blog. He’s one of the few “sex experts” that I follow and I definitely wouldn’t mind sitting in on a lecture of his.
I don’t get to read her blog as often as I like, but she had one post in particular that’s been ingrained in my head for a few months. In November, she posted Alpine Mountain Biking. It was about how she has to juggle many things in life and create her own sort of balance. What I really loved about this post was how she talked about raising children disabilities. She was raw in this post and it was heart warming and heart wrenching at the same time. You can see the sacrifices (including a sex life) she and her husband have made to care for their children.
I really enjoy reading about ML’s journey of being a lesbian slave. She shares about two unique dynamics…one with her former Mistress, Lois, and another with her current Mistress, Roxy. I started reading ML’s blog because of the meme she started, Tie Me Up Tuesday. It provided tutorials on bondage which is something I enjoy. Reading her posts are quite interesting and one that seems to stay at the forefront of my mind was when she went to a PRIDE event in South Korea. I appreciate her sense of culture and respect she shows towards different culture.
Life of a Kinky Wife
What really grabs my attention about Mrs. K are her photographs and her fiction pieces. The first fiction piece of hers on my radar was Doodle Dream. It was fun and lighthearted. It was silly, but it was a whole different feel to sex bloggers than I normally see. The next fiction piece that caught my attention was To Have and To Haunt. I loved this chilling piece because once again, it showcased her ability to write different genres of fiction while also adding a bit of smutty content.
A Dating Dad
He’s not really a sex blogger, but I’ve enjoyed reading his content. He was married, but divorced and is now searching for his second shot at love, while also raising kids and working a full time job. A Dating Dad is quite the sensation on Twitter and I can’t help but laugh when I read about some of his experiences.
So Howie doesn’t have a blog of his own, but is a guest write on Elliott Henry’s blog. Howie shares about his sexual adventures with sex workers and even in previous relationships during his childhood/teenage years. The posts that stick out to me are the ones about Asian brothels. He doesn’t really get sex at home so utilizes the services of sexy workers. It was interesting reading about these massage parlors and brothels. That’s a world that I had never quite understood, but his experiences were rather insightful.
How could I ever forget about Elliott…it would be impossible to do so as he is my blogger crush. He is quite the exhibitionist and I enjoy seeing his photos. I didn’t see this post until today, but it has me intrigued. I think we’d all really like to know about his lover using the sex toy on him. Still waiting on those nine photos of his penis though…
There are many other bloggers and posts that have impacted my blog, but it’s really late right now and I have to wake up early to go to work. I also put this off until the last minute because my schedule didn’t permit any other time. Maybe next year, I’ll have a bigger list of blogs/bloggers to celebrate.
But yes, here’s a picture of one of my boobs in celebration of one year of blogging.
And if you would like a badge of honor, here’s one for you.
