Losing My Mojo

I don’t know what’s wrong with me lately, but writing has become harder and harder to do. It’s not only that I feel like another bout of writer’s block, but also that I just don’t feel the motivation to write.

I’ve been posting work that I had previously written, but at some point that will run out. Maybe it’s stress from life.

I’m happy I have CL even though, as a writer, I’m not satisfied with my work. So if you see very short blogs like this in the foreseeable future, know that it took a lot of effort to even write this much.

Yours Truly,

  1. Thanks for the update! You can only do the best you can do! And if that means not blogging at times it’s perfectly ok! Check in’s are always appreciated😘

    1. I sort of haven’t kept up with social media or other blogs at the moment either. I try to read what I can, but figuring out what to write for comments has been a challenge too. It’s why I didn’t respond to comments on my own blog for a bit.

I love hearing anything you say so I hope you can overcome this block…. or put more photo’s up😎

    1. Haha. I’ll try to put more photos up.

  3. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself.
Mojo mojo is sometimes come and gogo.
When you are writing about a subject that can be deeply emotional it can sometimes eat into our energy levels. Our emotional energy is not constant, it has its ups and downs. You are a great writer, so many of your posts are very well crafted. Let yourself take breaks whenever needed and the mojo will yoyo.

    1. I think a vacation from life is needed. Can’t go anywhere because of the pandemic so I haven’t taken anytime off from work this year. I think maybe the stress from work, family, and just life zaps my creativity. Hopefully, I can get away from all of it soon.

  4. Sending hugs, sass! I go through those dry spells too, where the words just won’t come. Hope you find your mojo again soon 🙂

    1. Thanks. I hope so too. I’ve gone through blocks before. I hope it’s not as bad as the decade long one that I went through.

  5. Don’t pressure yourself too much, Sass. You will get back to writing, and posting work that has previously been written is a way to give yourself some room and rest. Take care.

    1. Thanks Marie! I think having posted close to 300 consecutive posts this year, I’m starting to burn out. I think once I hit January 14th (officially one year since starting this blog), I’ll make changes to the frequency of posts to allow for more rest.

  6. Relax. Writing comes and goes. Write when you are inspired or have something you want to say, otherwise I think Howie up above (he’s usually DownUnder) has an excellent suggestion.

    1. Perhaps you have suggestions on photos you’d like to see.
